CMFSC & Novo - Joint Community Support Effort

As many of you may have seen in the media in the last couple of weeks (https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/covid-19-coquitlam-company-retools-will-be-first-in-canada-to-produce-n95-respirators/) a story about a Coquitlam Company, Novo Textiles, that re-tooled their company to fight COVID-19 to produce Level 1 surgical masks.  The owners, Jason and Julie Zanatta, are lifetime Coquitlam residents and members of Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC with two boys currently playing in our club.  

Novo Textiles are looking for Coquitlam Metro-Ford club players, and /or their family members who may be looking for work during these challenging times,  or extra job experience, income and / or simply want to work for a good cause!

Job Description: Production Line /Order Packer:
Shifts available 5-10pm weekdays, 10am- 3pm weekends (4-5 hour shifts)
Manufacturing surgical masks by attaching ear loops to masks with ultrasonic sewing machines.
Packing orders for hospitals, care homes and healthcare distributors across canada
Competitive wage is $16/hour.
Address is 105 – 10 King Edward Street Coquitlam. We are south of the United Boulevard overpass in the new Fraser Mills industrial park.

Protective masks and equipment will be provided

COVID 19 SCREENING PROTOCALS PLEASE ANWSER THE BELOW QUESTIONS:
Have you travelled outside Canada in the past 14 days? YES/NO
Have you had close contact with someone who has been tested for COVID-19 in the past 14 days and has not yet received the results? YES/NO
Have you been in close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has travelled outside Canada? YES/NO
Have you been face to face for at least 15 minutes without Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 when that person was infectious? YES/NO
Have you been in the same closed space for at least 2 hours with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 when that person was infectious? YES/NO
Lived with or otherwise had close prolonged contact (within 2 metres) with a person while the person was symptomatic and not isolating? YES/NO

Had direct contact with infectious bodily fluids of a person (e.g. was coughed or sneezed on) without the appropriate use of recommended PPE? YES/NO

The following are requirements to keep our team safe at Novo Textiles, please take a moment to read these and acknowledge if you are ok with the following:

• Daily temperature checks upon starting shift. Temperatures above normal (37°C) will be asked to go home.
• Mask/gloves will be provided and must be worn at all times during shift.
• Frequent hand washing of your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• Cough or sneeze into your arm or tissue.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick to avoid spreading the illness to others.
