U11-U12 Frequently Asked Questions

Decisions on Head Coach positions are decided by technical staff. At registration, parents have an option to indicate if they would be willing to volunteer as an Assistant Coach or Manager. We will consider all parents that indicate interest in a volunteer position. Decisions on Assistant coaches and Managers for each team will be decided by the team Head coach.

We will consider all parents that indicate interest in a volunteer position and decisions on coaches will be finalized and approved by CMFSC‚ technical staff and the Age Group Coordinator. Decisions on Assistant coaches and Managers for each team will be decided by the team Head coach.

Teams will be formed with all efforts to balance all teams in the House division. This will be done in collaboration with the Under 11 Coordinators and CMFSC Technical Head Coaches of Minis Boys & Girls.

On the registration form there is a place for requests. In the House league consideration will be given to honor friend requests. Our first priority will be to make sure that all teams are balanced in terms of ability within the Under 11 House league. Registering after the deadline of June 1st will likely result in requests not being considered.

The House teams will be formed and completed by July 15th.

All players must register for U11 or U12. Players selected to Division 1 & 2 will be manually transferred on Power Up to the appropriate registration. 

All players should review the Team Selection process prior to registering.

When registering choose either Under 11 House or Under 12 House.

Registration deadline is June 1st. 

At Under 11 & Under 12 the structure is 8-aside. This means 7 outfield players plus a goalie.

Division 1 & 2 teams will train 2 times per week and players will be strongly encouraged to attend the High Performance or Prospects academy.

House teams will train a minimum of 1 time per week and players are encouraged to attend the Player Academy.

We will continue to monitor players in the house league through coach feedback and technical staff feedback. If a player is identified as excelling at the House League there is a possibility for training opportunities and call-up opportunities with a Division 2 Team.

No, if players were on a development team in the previous season it does not guarantee a position on a Division 1 or 2 team.

Yes, the Division 1 and 2 team fees are $20 more than the House League. 

Games will be played on Saturdays for Boys and Sundays for Girls. You can expect game times to be scheduled between 9:00am and 3:00pm for home games. You will also be travelling outside of the tri-cities to play games and the game times set at the discretion of the home club.

U11 Division 1 & 2 Boys/Girls

Both the U11 Division 1 and Division 2 teams compete in the BC Coastal Soccer League. Competition will be within the Tri-Cities, Alouette, Surrey, Delta, and Fraser Valley districts. 

U11 House Boys/Girls

All U11 House teams will play games within the Tri-Cities Youth Soccer Association (TCYSA). Games will be played against Port Moody, PoCo and inter-club.

U12 Division 1 & 2 Boys/Girls

Both the U11 Division 1 and Division 2 teams compete in the BC Coastal Soccer League. Competition will be within the Tri-Cities, Alouette, Surrey, Delta, and Fraser Valley districts.

U12 House Boys/Girls

The Under 8 to Under 12 divisions are overseen by club Technical Staff, Esteban Mora (boys) and Andrea Maloney (girls). Each age group and gender will also have an Age Group Staff Head Coach assigned to support the volunteer coaches. The Age Group Staff Head Coaches will provide coach development sessions throughout the season, provide team support, and will be monitoring games.

League play generally begins the second weekend of September for all levels. Division 1 & 2 teams will be formed in March and train and play exhibition games from April to June. House teams will be formed in June and normally start training at the end of August.

Division 1 and 2 teams will be formed by the end of April. The House teams will be formed and completed by July 15th.

No, there are no guarantees that your child's coach will be the same as the previous season.

Both the House and the Division 1 & 2 teams will receive the same home and away jersey in the CMFSC colours.
