U14 - U18 Divisional Fall/Winter League Program (September - March)

This is a great program for players that participated in our League program, coming from another soccer program, or brand new to the sport. Registered players will be placed on teams and will practice outdoors once or twice during the week and then have outdoor games on weekends (boys - Saturdays, girls - Sundays). All practice days and times will be determined by the end of August. Players will have an opportunity to develop technical ability, comprehension of team play and formations, and individual agility, balance and coordination in a fun and challenging environment. Players are placed onto the following divisions Metro* (U17-U18 only), Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 and will participate in the BC Coastal Soccer League. Teams will be guided by volunteer team officials which include a head coach, assistant coach, and team manager.

Under 14 - U18 Team Placement Process

The Under 14 - U18 age group is a continuation of the philosophy to group players with similar ability so coaches are able to deliver activities at a pace that will meet their players’ needs. In this way, instruction is differentiated, meeting players at their level with the goal of moving them along the continuum of Long Term Player Development. We want all players to be challenged, to build their skills and to enjoy their playing experiences.

Please visit our Team Placement page for more information.

Some Guiding Principles for the Under 14 - Under 18 Age Group:

  • Year-long assessment of players by technical staff coaches, Age Group Head Coaches, and volunteer coaches.
  • Technical support for all coaches in the age group.
  • A clear communication plan to parents and coaches.

Please refer to the BCSPL section for information regarding the BC Soccer Premier League club program.
