Location: Work from Home *Must have access to a home laptop or computer
Start Date: May 2024
Closing: Until Filled
Terms: Part-time Employee (0.5 FTE)
*There will be seasonal fluctuations in workload with weeks having more/less than 25 hours on average.
Pay: $26,000 Annual
Background: Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club (CMFSC) is one of the province’s largest and most successful community sports organizations - offering both participatory and performance soccer programs to over 4,000 youth and adult players. The club operates under the stewardship of a volunteer Board of Directors, paid administrative and technical resources, and is supported by almost 1,000 volunteers. The club takes great pride in the professionalism, ethics, values, and principles which guide our operation as a community non-profit.
Summary: Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will act as the main contact for nearly 1,000 team officials within CMFSC. This individual will be highly organized and efficient and possess excellent customer service and technology skills to better serve teams through their navigation of BC Soccer requirements, League updates/rules, and overall support with additional questions. Attention to detail, transparency and integrity will be essential to your success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as main point of contact for Club team officials, providing high quality and timely customer service.
- Act as league liaison and thoroughly review all league rules and processes.
- Assist with all the necessary administration functions for coaches, and team officials, including completion of Criminal Record Checks, Respect in Sport, Coaching Certifications, team carding, team official registration requirements, trophy administration.
- Work with the Operations Manager, Club Admin, Technical Director, and Technical Director Girls to ensure all teams are appropriately staffed with volunteer team officials.
- Manage the player ID process.
- Prepare reports, memos, bulletins, and documents as required.
- Support club events throughout the season.
- Other duties as arise and assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:
- General knowledge or experience with soccer leagues in BC.
- Customer service oriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Highly organized and flexible with the ability to multitask and meet challenging deadlines.
- Must be self-starter and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
- Availability to work non-standard hours (some evenings/weekends) as required.
- Strong computer skills Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in other database/content management technology tools (e.g. TeamSnap, Power Up, etc.) would be an asset.
- Have access to a home laptop or computer.
- Must clear a criminal record check and vulnerable sector search.
