RECORD 30 COQUITLAM METRO-FORD PLAYERS GRADUATING ONTO COLLEGIATE PLAY FOR 2018

A massive 2018 graduating class from Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer will represent the club in the upcoming post-secondary season across BC, through Canada, and into the United States.

On the girl’s side; 19 players will be moving up to the next level of play.

Two players will move into fierce NCAA Division 1 competition in the United States. Centre-back Ziyana Simanani will be in the heat of Houston, Texas at perennial top 20 ranked program Rice University. Centre-midfielder Madeline Moore will command the middle of the park at Utah Valley University, the 2017 Western Athletic Conference Champion. 

Canada West U-Sports institutions seized opportunity and signed multiple club players. Consistent national title contenders, the Trinity Western Spartans, will have Maddie Low, Hannah Miller, Katie Ward, and Ella Sutton joining their Langley campus. Linnea Cassidy, Leah Favaro, and Maya Lewis will travel to Kelowna to compete for the Heat at the UBC-Okanagan campus. Nikki Gregory and Jashan Sandhar will commute to the University of Fraser Valley to join the Cascades. 

The Metro Select squad ladies showed their strength and have announced CCAA league signings. Bianca Bettamin, Jaya Sharma, Gabby Turner, and Gabby Zenone will join the Langara College Falcons. McKayla Heywood, Bella Pires, and Jaz Virk will run the North Shore with the Capilano University Blues. Melanie Osborne will move to Vancouver Island University and help lead the Mariners program. 

On the men‚Äôs side; 11 players will see their field talents realized at the post-secondary levels. 

Travelling out of province will be Brolin Masuhara to Oshawa to be part of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Ridgebacks. Petri du Toit and Cohnan Kotarski will both make the short flight to Edmonton. Du Toit for the Golden Bears at the University of Alberta and Kotarski for the Griffens at MacEwen University. 

Within BC, the UBC-Okanagan Heat inked attacking player Tali Romero and the Cascades from the University of Fraser Valley signed Samuel Enchelmaier, Andrew Peat, and Trevor Zanatta. New Westminster’s Douglas College Royals welcome in Jaxon Bain, Quintin Desaulniers, Brayden Rose, and Karndeep Sahota.
