Job Title: League 1 Head Coach (1 Men’s position & 1 Women’s position)
Reports to: Director of Football
Start Date: February 1, 2025
Closing: Until Filled
Terms: Part-time
Renumeration: $10,000
Background: Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club (CMFSC) is one of the province’s largest and most successful community sports organizations - offering both participatory and performance soccer programs to approximately 4,000 youth and adult players. The club takes great pride in the professionalism, ethics, values, and wellness principles which guide our operation as a community-based non-profit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a minimum of 3 – 90 minute training sessions per week.
- Plan, deliver, and analyze training sessions
- Establish a pre-season schedule to prepare the team for the season
- Attend all games and additional tournaments, as required
- Participate with the Director of Football to recruit an assistant Coach
- Oversee player selection for the team in consultation with the Director of Football
- Conduct individual player meetings at least once per season and discuss their player status reports.
- Participate in all meetings in person, or via zoom as required
- Understand and support the Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC Youth system and have working relationships with the respective BCSPL coaches.
- Adhere to the rules and code of conduct outline by Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC and League One BC and provide a positive example to the players
- Ensure game day requirements are met.
- Attend club events, where requested
- Provide such services that would normally be required of a League 1 BC Head Coach

Qualifications
- Canada Soccer B-National License (required) – with a plan for A-License completion
- Making Ethical Decisions, Making Headway in soccer, Respect in Sport Activity Leader, Rule of 2, and EAP Training (required)
- Up to date Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector included
- 5+ years coaching experience and equivalent playing experience at the same level or higher
- Applicants must be permitted to work in British Columbia

- Strong communication (written & verbal) skills
- Punctual, professional, approachable, detailed, responsive, and organized
- Awareness of high-performing athletes an what it takes to complete at pro/college/university level
