CMFSC 2013 Born BCSPL Information
The BCSPL Intake Evaluation Philosophy and Process relies on continuous evaluation of players within the Club environment to determine if they are at the BCSPL level and suitable for selection to the BCSPL Intake Roster.
Evaluation Process (Under 14 Intake Cascadia Participation):
In line with BC Soccer, CMFSC recognizes that players are divided into four categories which determines their evaluation process.
- Current CMFSC registered Players will be evaluated within the Club environment through team or training environments. Players do not need to complete an evaluation request form.
- Players currently registered with a Club designated partner will be evaluated in their home club environment and/or invited to be evaluated with the club in training environment.
- Players currently registered with a Club that has no BCSPL affiliation may be scouted and observed in their current environment and invited to be evaluated within the Club environment upon approval from Club's Technical Director. Players interested in being evaluated for CMFSC are to complete the interest form HERE.
- Players currently registered with a different BCSPL Club or is a designated partner club must initiated by the player's parents or guardians - CMFSC may offer an evaluation opportunity once contact has been initiated. If an evaluation opportunity is offered, CMFSC will inform the parent/guardian that the Technical Director of the club at which the player is registered will be informed prior to the evaluation. Invitations (Under 14 Intake Cascadia Participation):
Selection Process Steps:
- On or after January 17th, all selected players for the CMFSC Under 14 Intake roster will receive an email confirming their selection. Players will be provided a timeline to confirm their positions with CMFSC and must do so by replying to the selection email.
- A player being evaluated by another club may request an extension for responding to an invitation. The extension request must include a specific date by which a response will be provided and be tied to the evaluation process in which the player is involved.
- Once the roster is finalized, remaining players from Division 1 or those who have participated in the process will receive an email notifying them that the selection process is complete. These players will be evaluated for the next level of play at CMFSC for the 2026-27 season.
Secondary Invitations (Under 14 2026-2027 BCSPL Season)
To align with the rest of the BCSPL Team Formation process, players will continue to be assessed for placement during the Spring months in order to finalize the Under 14 2026-2027 BCSPL roster. All rosters will be finalized by July 18th, 2026.
- After the conclusion of the Cascadia Spring League, all selected players for the CMFSC Under 14 roster will receive an email confirming their selection. Players will be provided a timeline to confirm their positions with CMFSC and must do so by replying to the selection email.
- Once the roster is finalized, remaining players not selected for BCSPL will be notified for placement at the next level of play at CMFSC for the 2026-27 season.
