U14-U18 Frequently Asked Questions

Boys Program

The Boys Metro to Division 3 teams play within the BC Coastal Soccer League. More information on the BCCSL can be found at the following link.

Metro, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 teams are tiered teams that are formed through the club evaluation process and would be considered a Select Team. Division 3 teams are house level teams that are open to players of all levels and experience.

The Metro division will no longer be offered to new age groups starting in the 2021-2022 season. Divisions will be Division 1, Division 2, Division 3. 

Girls Program

The Girls Metro and Division 1 thru 3 teams play within the BC Coastal Soccer League.

Metro, Division 1 & 2 teams are tiered teams that are formed through the club evaluation process and would be considered a Select Team. Division 3 teams are house level teams that are open to players of all levels and experience.

The Metro division will no longer be offered to new age groups starting in the 2021-2022 season. Divisions will be Division 1, Division 2, Division 3. 

All coaches need to fill out a coach application form found at the following link. Decisions on Head Coach positions are decided by the club technical staff.

At registration, parents have an option to indicate if they would be willing to volunteer as an Assistant Coach or Manager. We will consider all parents that indicate interest in a volunteer position. Decisions on Assistant Coaches and Managers for each team will be decided by the team Head Coach.

In the Under 14 thru Under 18 Divisions, we have the following levels.

Boys/Girls

    • Division 3

In the Under 13 Divisions, we have the following levels.

Boys/Girls

The Metro Division is being phased out starting in the 2021-2022 season. The U14 - U18 Metro division teams will continue until they graduate but no further Metro teams will be created. 

All players must register for the 2018-19 season prior to the first evaluation for their respective team/level.

All Division 3 players are asked to register prior to May 15th and prior to the team formation sessions held in June.

As per our registration policy only those players House (Division 3) players who register by May 15th will be placed on a team in the pre-determined order of registration. After May 15th, a non-refundable late fee of $50.00 applies, and team placement is not assured.

U13-U16 Divisional Teams are allowed a maximum of 18 players rostered under BC Soccer rules

U17 and U18 Divisional Teams are allowed a maximum of 20 players rostered under BC Soccer Rules.

At Under 14 through Under 18 the structure is 11-aside, full field.

Metro Teams -Train twice per week minimum

Division 1 Teams - Train twice per week

Division 2 Teams - Train once per week minimum

Division 3 Teams - Train once per week minimum

The Division 3 boys & girls teams will be formed through a team formation session in June.

Consideration for placement on the team will be based on:

1. Returning CMFSC players (by registration date prior to May 15th).

2. Non-CMFSC players (by registration date prior to May 15th).

3. Coach input on player selection.

4. All registrants after May 15thby registration date with preference to returning CMFSC players.

Games are traditionally played on Saturdays for Boys and Sundays for Girls. You can expect game times to be scheduled between 9:00am and 8:00pm for home games. You will also be travelling outside of the tri-cities to play games and the game times set at the discretion of the home club.

Registration is available February 15th each season. Please refer to the following link regarding registration.

As per our registration policy only those players who register by May 15th will be placed on a team in the pre-determined order of registration. Members that register prior to May 15th will receive a $50 discount on cost of fees. 

Players accepting a position on a team and their parents should be aware that as outlined in CMFSC policies & procedures, subsequent withdrawal from the team will result in forfeiture of their registration fees. Verbally accepting a position is considered an official acceptance.

League play generally begins the second weekend of September for all levels.
