David Shin
Referee Mentor
David has played soccer for the past 8 years. He is grateful for all the lessons team sports has taught him and is keen on passing that same experience onto the kids he coaches. As an adaptive soccer coach, he loves providing a healthy support structure to help kids with disabilities grow in both athletic and emotional abilities. In addition, David is a certified BC Soccer Referee. In 2019, he was part of a select group of referees in the province to be chosen to referee in the BCSPL, the top youth soccer league in British Columbia. David loves refereeing soccer as he is someone who thrives in high-pressure situations. He also enjoys the fact that he gets to resolve conflict between players, coaches, and spectators regularly. In September 2019, David was proud to find out he was nominated to become a mentor with the CMFSC to help develop grass roots referees. In April 2019, David was awarded the PMSC Referee of the Year award.
