Long time CMFSC BCSPL player, Tara Kong (current 2001 U18 BCSPL Girls), was awarded the Bronze level of Governor General Academic Medal for Charles Best Secondary for 2018-2019 school year. For over 125 years, this prestigious award, is given in celebration of scholastic achievement to the graduating student with the highest grade point average. In September, Tara will attend UBC to further study engineering.

Esteban Mora, coach of the 2001 U18 Girls CMFSC BCSPL team, had to say of Tara, "I am very proud of Tara's academic achievement, but not at all surprised. She has always been an inspiration of what hard work and dedication can accomplish. As our captain for the past 2 years, she has been one of our most consistent players both for attendance and performance. I look forward to see what other great accomplishments she will achieve in her life and proud she is part of our CMF family."
