Luca Antongiovanni Accepted to Deerfield Academy

Congratulations to Luca Antongiovanni on being accepted to Deerfield Academy, a highly selective boarding and day school for students grades 9-12, in Deerfield, Massachusetts. Deerfield is one of the most prestigious secondary schools in the country, with a 16.4% acceptance rate for the 2017-2018 school year. Luca was selected on the basis of being a dual sport athlete (he'll play both soccer and lacrosse), and a well-rounded academic student. Luca will attend the school for grade 11 and grade 12 and then head to the University of North Carolina for field lacrosse. 

Luca played in CMFSC's BCSPL program with team Shakhtar and Carney's high school team. Though he will miss his teammates, this was an opportunity he couldn't refuse. We wish Luca the best of luck with this new experience and look forward to hearing about his accomplishments. 

As a starting forward on Deerfield's boys varsity soccer team, Luca played with Deerfield in their first match against Avon Old Farms (a team they'd lost to 4-1 in the past) and settled with a tie of 3-3.
