Team Placement Process 2022-2023

The CMFSC Team Placement Process aims to place players where they can play in an environment that promotes a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity and the game. By providing multiple team levels within an age group, we allow players to play where they are assessed based on their level of ability at that moment in time.  

Over the course of the season, our Club monitors the placement and development of all players within the Club through team coach feedback, Senior CMF technical staff and Age Group Head Coach observations, and feedback from additional Club programming. Players are seen at multiple times during the season in a variety of environments and information is collected by a number of different individuals to build a more complete picture of a player and where they belong. We respect and value the opinions we receive and make our decisions on player placement in the best interests of our players and their long-term player development. 

Our new process also includes Player Identification Sessions for Under 11 - Under 18. We encourage all new and returning CMFSC members to review our full process for each age group and level here.
