CMF Teams Qualify for Provincials!

Over the weekend, the CMF U14B MSL Schalke and the NCU U18B Strikers competed in the Coastal Cup finals. Both were victorious and qualified for provincials. The Schalke will participate in the Provincial A Cup, July 5 - 8 in Richmond, and the Strikers in the Provincial B Cup (Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup) in Burnaby July 5 - 8. *The U13G MSL Shockwave have also qualified for the Provincial A Cup as they won their league. 

**The U18M CMF Villa have also qualified for the Provincial B Cup after a wild card win.

***The U17B MSL Juventus have also qualified for the Provincial A Cup. 

CMFSC U14B MSL Schalke:

Over the weekend, Team Schalke would strive to add the only trophy the team had not yet won - the Coastal Cup. What a game! Initially falling behind 1 - 0 to Vancouver FC,  they were able to tie it up and push the game into overtime. Schalke scored the go-ahead goal to make it 2-1 with only four minutes remaining but VFC scored with less than a minute, sending the game into shootouts. Despite the amounting pressure and stress, Schalke would win the game and their entrance into Provincials for a second consecutive year.
