Uniform & Apparel Policy

The purpose of this document is to provide clear direction to all CMFSC officials, players, and families by establishing a standardized program to be followed by all Club members. This ensures consistency, professionalism, and a unified Club identity across all teams and programs.

The official primary colours of CMFSC are Royal Blue and Black, which must be reflected in all Club gear and apparel.

Our jerseys are more than just uniforms; they are a symbol of our club’s rich history and a key part of our identity. They make us instantly recognizable within the community, representing not only our team spirit but also our commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Club Uniform Standards

The official home jersey is the blue and black striped jersey and serves as the Club’s primary and most recognizable uniform. This jersey must be worn for all matches unless there is a colour conflict with the opposing team.

Alternate (white) uniforms will be determined annually by the Club.

No external club gear, modified uniforms, or non-approved apparel is permitted. To maintain a consistent and professional Club image only CMFSC-issued and approved apparel may be worn during games.

Club specific attire is defined as:

  • Club jerseys, shorts, & socks
  • Club warm up shirts
  • Club track suits
  • Club backpacks/bags

Club jerseys will come with numbers from U11+.

Players are to provide their own shin guards, cleats, and goalkeeper gloves (U13+).

Players & Families Responsibilities:

  • Arrive prepared in full, approved CMFSC gear
  • Label and care for all issued equipment
  • Follow all Club apparel guidelines

Coaches, Managers & Staff:

  • Wear CMFSC-approved gear
  • Reinforce and monitor consistency in uniform standards
  • Communicate expectations clearly to players and families

Training Gear & Outerwear

All training gear and outerwear—including tracksuits, training tops, pants, jackets, and additional apparel—must align with the Club’s primary colour scheme of Royal Blue and Black.

Additional optional CMFSC apparel may be purchased through the Soccer Express Club Store. These items are optional.

Uniform Delivery & Exchange Guidelines

In collaboration with our supplier and their sizing experts, who work with clubs across Canada, we determine the size ranges for each age group. Using registration numbers, we estimate how many teams and uniforms are needed in each size. Custom fittings are not available.

Prior to the start of the season, uniforms are distributed to team coaches or managers. Team coaches or managers will then distribute to their team roster.

Uniform exchanges are intended to ensure proper fit:

  • Exchanges are permitted if the uniform is one size too small
  • Exchanges are permitted if the uniform is two sizes too large

Because of the length of the season, uniforms that are only one size too large are to be kept, to allow the player to grow into it.

Families are to submit all exchange requests to their team coach/manager who will work with our Equipment Manager to fullfill the request. Exchanges will be made based on availability of stock.

Replacement of Lost or Damaged Items

Lost or damaged items must be replaced at the member’s expense. Replacement availability is subject to inventory and cannot be guaranteed.

Customization

We do not recommend teams have jerseys customized with numbers and last names. The jerseys are a sublimated fabric. With this fabrication, the re-heating of the fabric can lead to a colour bleed of the applied print.

If teams choose to add numbers (U8 – U10) or add initials/names:

  • All costs associated with customization are the responsibility of the team.
  • No unauthorized logos, colours, or club wear from other organizations may be added.
  • Any items damaged or not adhering to the uniform guidelines may be required to correct, dispose of, and replace the non-approved gear at their own expense immediately upon notification.
