Club Staffing Announcements
Posted on: July 18, 2021
We are very excited to announce the expansion of our Club Administrative and Technical teams with two internal promotions and two new appointments to better serve our membership. With a much anticipated return to normalcy post-pandemic, we have taken the opportunity to evaluate our Club direction, reposition aspects of the organization and further strengthen our staff team.
These investments provide our volunteer coaches and managers with the development, tools and support necessary to deliver a comprehensive athlete development experience, while enhancing member engagement through improved communications and partnership with families. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and are essential to delivering a quality sport experience that is accessible. Families are pivotal partners in the players' journey and the club’s mission of creating experiences, through soccer, that inspire a lifelong passion for physical activity and a pathway to personal brilliance.
Previous Boys Minis Head Coach, Esteban Mora, has been promoted to an exciting new role, Director of Development. Esteban brings extensive knowledge of the LTPD and is dedicated to developing players on and off the field. This new position will oversee our development programming for Coaches, Players, and Families and will also be a key role in our BC Soccer Premier League, leading our Girls side of our program.
Dale Mitchell, our Technical Director of BCSPL, will continue to lead the BCSPL program with direct oversight on the male program, while supporting Esteban Mora in his new role on the female side.
With the movement of Esteban to the new role, we are excited to announce our new Technical Staff member, Liam Carter in the role of Head Coach, Boys. Liam will oversee and be responsible for the Boys U8 – U18 program. As a previous Coquitlam Metro-Ford BCSPL coach, Age Group Head Coach, and volunteer coach, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this new position. Liam holds a B Provincial Coaching License, the Children’s License, and Technical Director Diploma. Most recently, Liam held the position of Assistant Technical Director, Academy & Development Pathway with Surrey United Soccer Club.
Lindsay Sayers, Member Services Coordinator, will transition to Member Services Manager to focus on strategic projects, including a comprehensive member communication and engagement plan. She will continue to provide members with the most up to date information and provide structure to major Club initiatives.
To continue providing outstanding member support, we have hired Michelle Zorzenone, in the new role of Club Administrator. Michelle is a long time Club team official volunteer, Age Group Coordinator, and Picture Day Manager. Michelle will lend her organizational skills to field scheduling for training, games, and creating in-house leagues, and apply her superior customer service skills to acting as the main point of contact for general Club inquiries. Michelle’s kindness and compassion will serve to provide all members with a quality experience.
Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club is committed to consistently challenge ourselves to provide the best experience possible for all. We seek to set new standards and exceed expectations in everything we do. We grow talent and provide opportunity where everyone can build on their personal and professional journey.
