Initiation Program Information for Under 4 - Under 7 Fall 2022 - Winter 2023
Players born 2019 - 2016.
The Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club Under 4 - Under 7 Initiation Program is a beginner to intermediate program focussed on providing a fun, safe, and structured environment for our most excited players! For some, this will be a child's first introduction to Club soccer while others will use this time to strengthen skills learned at home or school. Each session will will engage players (and parents in Under 4) in skill-building activities like running, jumping, starting, kicking and stopping using soccer balls and imagination!
Registration will open February 28, 2022.
Under 4 - Under 5 General Program Details
- Two 8 week programs with separate registrations
- October - November
- January - February
- All programs run by CMFSC Technical Staff Coaches
- All programs are once a week
- Under 4: Parent participation required - parent is actively participating in the session!
- Under 5: Parent supervision - parent/guardian is in attendance for the full session to offer support if needed.
Under 6 - Under 7 General Program Details
- One program with one registration that runs from September - March
- Team environment run by volunteer team officials with support from CMFSC Technical Staff Coaches
- All programs are twice a week
- One midweek practice
- One weekend game
- Under 6 Boys: Saturdays 10:15am - 11:15am
- Under 7 Boys: Saturday 9:00am - 10:00am
- Under 6 Girls: Sundays 10:15am - 11:15am
- Under 7 Girls: Sundays 9:00am - 10:00am
This 8-week program consists of a weekly 1 hour outdoor session designed for the "little soccer stars of tomorrow"! Parents & Players will work together to learn basic soccer skills such as ball control, dribbling and passing plus there will be a focus on physical literacy (agility, balance, jumping, coordination). All players must have a Parent/Guardian with them to actively participate during the full 1 hour session. Players and Parents will participate in a number of games and activities in an extremely positive and fun environment! The program will be 45 minutes instruction with 15 minutes Player and Parent free-play. All players receive a full CMFSC uniform (jersey, shorts, socks). CMFSC Staff Coaches will lead all sessions. Players will choose the day/time of their session during registration.
