CMFSC Spring Break Camp

The MINI MADNESS camp is for the “little stars of tomorrow” and features two hours jammed full of soccer fun.  We will use a number of games and activities to give the players a very basic understanding of soccer, but it is designed to provide an extremely positive and fun introduction to the game.

The DEVELOPMENT CAMP is aimed at any player wanting to take his or her game to that next level and be the best player he or she can be regardless of age, experience and ability. Emphasis is on basic skill development: ball control, passing, shooting, with progression to more advanced techniques throughout the camp.  This program is open to all players interested in improving their skills in a fun environment.

CMFSC Development Program
Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer introduced the development program for the minis six years ago. Even at a young age, kids that are showing a significant desire and commitment to play the game of soccer and need an opportunity to learn within our club. The goal of the program is to give players that exhibit an advanced level of soccer skill and maturity the opportunity to continue to develop their talents in an environment that challenges them beyond their existing opportunities.

In addition, we would like to use this program as a coach development tool. Therefore, we welcome and encourage any coach that would be interested to work alongside our CMFSC Head Coaches and Academy Coaching Staff to be a part of this program.  This Fall & Winter Development program will include the Under 8 to Under 12 age groups.  More information will be available in August 2010.

CMFSC Under 8 through Under 12 Jamborees
We will be running two jamborees this year per age group for all Under 8 to Under 12 House Teams. The purpose of these jamboree’s is to give each age group two more days of soccer, as well as the opportunity to work with players from our Senior Men’s and Women’s Premier teams along with some players from our Divisional boys and girls teams.  We strongly encourage all players to attend both jamborees, so that we can use this opportunity as a tool to assess players for the CMFSC Development Program.  Please encourage all of your players to attend and it is very beneficial that all coaches attend as well. Players should wear their CMFSC uniform, and we ask that all Coach’s please bring your soccer balls.    For more information will be available in August 2010.

CMFSC Under 13 to Under 18 Team Sessions
These team sessions will be accessible for all Girls & Boys Under 13 to Under 18 Gold, Silver, Bronze, House, and Red teams.  CMFSC Staff coaches will run these sessions.  All coaches are expected to attend and will receive a session plan at the end of session on the practice that was covered.  More information will be available in August 2010.

CMFSC Parent & Player Training Session
This session will be a good opportunity for parents & players to play together in an organized environment.  The goal of this program is to give parents tools to help their children practice at home.  As well we want to be able to educate parents so that they understand the skills, techniques & tactics that coaches are trying to teach their children.  We will focus on the age groups of Under 6 to Under 10.  More information on this will be available in August 2010.

CMFSC Goalkeeping Clinics
We know that goalkeeping is often a neglected position with our mini players.  Therefore, we will be holding goalkeeping clinics on the following dates for all goalies from the Under 8 through Under 12 divisions.  There is no cost to these sessions and you may send as many players from your team as you would like to each session.  All coaches are welcome to attend as well to pick up some goalkeeping tips.  These sessions will give goalies basic skills to make them feel more comfortable when it is their turn in goal.  More information will be available in August 2010.
