Coaching Certificate Pathway
CMFSC continues to provide a program to enable our coaches to become certified under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). CMFSC provides and pays for all CMFSC coaches to complete the Community Coach Children, Community Coach Youth, and Community Coach Senior certification courses. We will also reimburse coaches who choose to further their coach education by going to Provincial and National level courses.
Unless determined by the Head Coach/Technical Director, coaches are required to be fully certified at the following levels to be selected as the head coach for a team:
Community Coach Children- Mandatory for all Coaches in the Association to register and complete the Community Coach Children course by the end of the U8 season.
Community Coach Youth - Mandatory for all U11 Coaches in the Association to register and complete the Community Coach Children & Community Coach Youth course by the end of the U11 season. If the coach is new to the club, they must register for the next course offered through CMFSC.
Full Community Coach Certification– Mandatory for all Select/Metro & Gold Coaches to have their Full Community Coach Certification (Community Coach Children, Community Coach Youth, and Community Coach Senior) before January of the U13 Gold Season. All Coaches in the U14 age group (Silver, Bronze, House, and Red) need to work towards their CCS License and be completed by the start of the U16 season.
B-Prep: All Metro Coaches by the end of U14 Metro need to complete the B Prep test and aspire to the B Provincial license.
*Please note for a team to compete in the Coastal A Cup and Provincial A Cup one staff member(preferably the Head Coach of team) much be fully certified at the Community Coach Level. *

B-Provincial Course

For the B-Prep Course or B-Provincial Course you must register and pay yourself and will be reimbursed upon completion of the course by the club once you have submitted your receipt to Sara Maglio at technicaldirector@cmfsc.ca

This season we are partnering with Port Moody Soccer Club to jointly host the CCY and CCS courses. As our club is getting to the point that most of our coaches are already certified this will help ensure that we will be able to fill the courses with the minimum requirement of coaches.
